Call for Proposals: 2026 Fall Fundraising Run/Walk Partnership
The Fredericton Marathon invites local charity organizations to submit proposals to partner with us on a Fall 2026 fundraising run/walk event along Fredericton’s riverfront trail system.
Since 2019, the Fredericton Marathon has proudly collaborated each autumn with a local charity to deliver a community-focused event that raises both funds and awareness for their mission. For October 2026, we are opening the opportunity to the broader community through this call for proposals.
Partnership Opportunity
The selected charity will work with the Fredericton Marathon team to co-host a professionally supported run/walk event. This partnership sees the Fredericton Marathon and selected charity working together to put on a fundraising run/walk event, promoting health and wellness while raising funds to support the local organization.
Eligibility
Charities must be able to:
- Secure corporate sponsors.
- Issue charitable tax receipts to participants and sponsors.
- Provide personnel and volunteers to support event-day operations.
What We Provide
- Event planning, coordination and operational oversight.
- Race directors, course design, and logistics support.
- Marketing and promotional amplification through Fredericton Marathon social media channels.
- Access to our volunteer network and event-day systems.
What We Expect From Partners
- Securing sponsors and planning meetings
- Active promotion of event
- Leadership in fundraising efforts and sponsor outreach.
- Recruitment of volunteers to support race-day roles.
Proposal Requirements
Proposals should include:
- A brief overview of your organization and mission.
- Why would this partnership be meaningful for your group.
- Your fundraising goals and how funds will be used.
- Your capacity to support event-day operations and sponsor outreach.
- Any unique ideas or value your charity would bring to the event.
Timeline
- Proposal deadline: June 12, 2026
- Review period: June 14-19, 2026
- Partner selected: June 21, 2026
- Event date: October 2026
