The Fredericton Marathon set a new record at the 47th annual Stewart McKelvey Fredericton race weekend.
Marathoners, half marathoners, 10k runners hit Fredericton’s trail and bridges Sunday with 5k participants and children of all ages braving Saturday’s downpour for a total of 3,234 registered participants.

The 2025 Stewart McKelvey Fredericton Marathon introduced a new course to 42.2k marathoners, utilizing the city’s northside trail.
The return to Sunday staggered starts was an additional feature.
39 Elite women and men ran two loops Saturday of the city’s downtown core in Atlantic Canada’s first-ever road race label event. The evisitNB Elite 5k is the only race east of Quebec City part of the 2025 Athletics Canada Road Race Label program.
