Sunday, May 8th – 8:00 am

Lap 1
The Marathon consists of two laps. The course starts on St John St between McLeod Ave and Scully St Participants run down St John St and turn left onto Queen St, follow Queen St to St Anne’s Point Dr, turn right onto St Anne’s Point Dr. The course stays on the right side of St Anne’s Point Dr and then heads up the on-ramp to Westmorland St Bridge. Participants will cross over the Westmorland St Bridge and take the second exit onto Union St. Participants will follow Union St to Friel St, turn left onto Friel St and run to the trail system where they will turn right onto the Northside Trail.

The course continues to the Nashwaak Trail (crossing McKeen St, Jaffrey St, Cliffe St, Hughes St, Clark St, Neill St, Pine St, Gill St, and Gibson St) where it crosses Barker St and turns left onto the Gibson Trail. Participants follow the Gibson Trail to McGloin St (crossing Greenwood Dr twice), turn left to cross Bridge St, and turn right onto Nashwaak Trail. The course turns just before the bridge over River St, and follows the Nashwaak Trail back to the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge (crossing Bridge St, Canada St, Kaine St, Gilbert St, Canada St, and Barker St). The course continues across the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge and onto the Lincoln Trail to turn right at Aberdeen St (crossing George St. and Charlotte St), turning right to head to begin lap two.

Lap 2
The second lap turns left on St John St, then left on McLeod Ave and onto the Lincoln Trail. Participants will turn left on the trail and cross the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge. From this point, the course is the same as the first lap (turn right onto Gibson Trail and around the Marysville Loop) except for the participants turning about 1km further out on the Nashwaak Trail.
