The Fredericton Marathon eVisitNB Elite 5k is part of the 2026 Athletics Canada Road Race Label program

Cash Purse of $8,000 with $500 bonuses.

Course Record Bonus:
- Male – 14:28 min 5k: $500
- Female – 17:27 min 5k: $500
Course Details:
The 5k course is two and a half loops of downtown core, starting on Queen Street by Officers Square running to and along Sainte Anne’s Point Drive and finishing beside the Garrison Skatepark, located behind the Armoury. This route is fast, flat, and certified.
Qualifying Standards*
- Male – sub-16:30 min 5k
- Female – sub-19:30 min 5k
*Qualifying result must be chip timing
Race Results and Prize Policy:
Results will be reviewed after the race, and if additional time is needed for any reason, we will review over the following week and issue a decision no later than one week after the event.
Should there be no issues with results and they are clear and confirmed, prize money will be paid in 30 days.

Elite and Competitive Athlete Entries are non-transferrable.
Timing:
Event will be timed using the chip system.
Just past the Regent St/Saint-Anne’s Point Dr intersection, 5k participants line up on Queen St in front of the memorial at Officers’ Square. Runners head west on Queen St, passing Carleton St, York St, Westmorland St, continuing on the right-hand side of the street to Saint-Anne’s Point Dr. Runners turn right, following Saint-Anne’s Point Dr to Regent St, where they turn right back onto Queen St following the same route, and conducting a second loop. Turning onto Queen St to complete their second loop, runners continue to York St where they turn right, running a short distance before turning right down a lane, heading to the finish line located toward the end of land by the Garrison Skate Park.
