Road and Bridge Closures
Everyone is encouraged to take note of the bridge and road closures planned for May 13-14, with possible delays over the two-day period:
Saturday, May 13th
Please note the following streets will be closed as of 12:30pm for the Youth Fun Run:
- McLeod Ave (between St. John and the trail)
- Aberdeen St (between St. John and the trail)
- Churchill Row (between St. John and the trail)
- St. John Street (between Aberdeen and McLeod Avenue)
Sunday, May 14th
Please note the following bridges and streets will be closed for the 10k, half marathon and full marathon as follows:

Certified Courses
For the 2023 Stewart McKelvey Fredericton Marathon race weekend, the following courses 5k, 10k, 21.1k and 42.2k are certified.
Pace Bunnies
The True North Pace Bunnies are back in May 2023. More details about pace bunnies and pace times will be posted closer to race day.
Cash Awards
The Fredericton Marathon offers cash awards for breaking the 10k, marathon and half marathon race records. The cash awards for the male and female race records start at $250 for the full marathon and increases by $25 for every year it is not broken to a maximum of $500. For the 1/2 marathon, it starts at $125 and increases by $25 for every year it is not broken to a maximum of $250. For the 10k race, the male and female race records start at $100 and increases by $20 for every year it is not broken to a maximum of $200. Below are the current cash awards for breaking a race record in 2023, including a special one-time only incentive.

Men’s Half Marathon Record = $220.00*
Women’s Half Marathon Record = $195.00*

* To help recognize our 45th anniversary in May 2023, we have added an additional one-time only $45 to our cash awards, should someone break one of the above-noted records in May 2023 only.
